Lessons Learned

Life is full of lessons to be learned, and this year has taught me a lot. I just wanted to write down some of those lessons. First I've learned you're never alone. Sounds cheesy and cliche, but there have been so many times this year where I have sought comfort, and found it. I know I haven't had a particularly hard life, in fact I've had in relatively easy, but I've still had lonely days, and I'm so grateful to have a loving father in heaven who never leaves me when I need him. Second I've learned that life is better when you're grateful.

I have found myself complaining often about how the world has done me wrong with red lights, slow drivers, and having to wait in check out lines. We all need to remember that the world doesn't owe us anything, and it's ok to slow down. Next time you're stopped at that red light be grateful that red lights exist to keep accidents from happening, and therefore keeping you safe.

The last lesson I would like to share is that life is a matter of perspective. If things are looking so good from where you're standing, move. While I was in Mexico I watched a short video called, "This is Water," and I'm to recommend that you all take the time to look it up and watch it. So even though this is a short entry it's my little recipe for happiness. Try not be get too involved with yourself, be grateful, and remember there's always someone there to listen to you when you need them. Life is for laughing, so go out, have fun, life it to the fullest, and always smile! :)
