This past weekend has been absolutely amazing! We had the opportunity to visit the Oaxaca temple. The temple was gorgeous! The grounds were so green and well kept unlike most of what we've seen of mexico, and it was all gated off so the grounds were actually quite quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed just being there and being able to sit and talk in such a pretty and spiritual environment. There's also a church building on the grounds where we went to escape the heat for a bit while after we'd finished and were waiting for the rest of the ward in order to drive back to Tehuacan. There we found a piano where we just sat and played/sung together. Nothing brings the spirit faster than the hymns. It was so good to just be with those girls there to bond in that way! I love the gospel and am so grateful for all the blessings that I receive from living the gospel. I love that no matter where you go in the world you have the gospel. Having the knowledge that I do about where I came from is one of the things that brought me the most comfort in my first few weeks here. When I got really homesick all I had to do was get on my knees, and I knew that I had a loving father who would be there to just listen to all my fears and frustrations that I was experiencing. I am so lucky and blessed to be able to live the life that I am! I love it, and look forward to each new day here! I miss my family so much at times, as they are my best friends and it's hard to be away from them, but you know what they say, "the best way to appreciate something is to be away from it for a while." And I can honestly say that I truly appreciate my family more than I did before, and that I am able to live so close to so much of my family! Miss you all! And see you soon! <3

  1. Wow! You sound so grown up here! I sometimes forget that you are not just my baby sister but an adult at that :)

I love you too and it's honestly experiences that stretch us that bring us closest to our Heavenly Father. We truly are blessed to have that knowledge :) Heavenly Father knows me personally as well as you. :)

    Keep the blogging coming :)
